I like all kinds of music really, but there are a few things out there that I just can't stand. Boy bands being one of them.
I've never liked the NKOTB because it wasn't even my generation. My older sister loved them and often had their tapes and posters up so I'm not new to them.
But when I turned on VH1 the other day, I noticed the very talented and very different Artemis Pebdani was acting in a music video.
I love this woman so naturally it caught my attention quick. She's a bigger woman and damn proud of it. Anyone who is this big but has the courage to dance like this for everyone to see - has my vote.
But I was confused at first. Thinking that surely with her appearances on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia had gotten her enough cred that she wouldn't need to do silly music videos.
I watched in amusement for a bit and then turned it off. "Yuck. I am NOT watching NKOTB."
The next day I saw the video again. "Alright. I'll give it it's fair shot for Artemis at least." I said to myself. And holy shit - they grew up. lol
I can honestly say that I didn't mind watching it the second time. They look NOTHING like they used to, the song is a pretty catchy beat, and Artemis shakes it up in the video.
Now I find myself listening to this song on YouTube and downloading it on iTunes.
Damn it. They won.
They made a damn good move at getting her to be in the video. I know if I stopped to watch it because of her - then someone else out there has too. No doubt that it has drawn the attention of the watchers of It's Always Sunny.
Smart move, NKOTB. Smart move...BTW - awesome hair Joey McIntyre.
